It's a tale of a young girl named Koko (Coco?) who lives with her mom. When her dad was still alive, he got her interested in penguins and she believed that one day she too will be able to fly amongst the penguins, just like her dad.
The storyline was quite predictable, and expect some cutesy antics from Koko. There are goblins, her friend Chaley (Charlie?) and a fallen angel named Zammie. Plus, the root of all evil with a name like Buka-Boo. How serious can you take the storyline? Interesting to note that this 3D CGI-animated feature film was co-produced by Denis Friedman (France) and Madhouse(Japan).
Koko represents the humans, Chaley the goblins, Ji the Chinese deity, and Zammie the fallen angel. In Chaley's world, they are threatened by Buka-Boo who is sort of like the dark lord. Buka-boos henchmen, looked like skinny gremlins! Haha! The angels looked like those Christmas deco! I find the movie quite yawn inducing at some parts. But there are touching moments as well, though as cliche as it has been!
Verdict: Watch it if you wanna see what's 3D CGI anime
