Clarke Quay and Central is fast becoming my most frequently visited place... (heh, simply because I have a bus service to go back to CCK from Clarke Quay station..)

Had lunch with Gina at Billy Bombers (1-for-1 special) where you can order from a choice of 3 main courses, and get the lower valued one for free. We had the seafood paradise spaghetti($13+) and fish n chips ($16+).

Then Florence joined us for tea. But of course after we went round Central looking at the shops... Found a new shop in there... that sell Cosplay costumes. Happening! It's not open for business yet I think but someone was inside trying out the stuffs, probably for the Cosplay gathering that they're having today at the atrium of Central.

After following the girls around looking at shoes and clothes, we had to rest our tired feets. So it's tea time at Azabu Sabo.

Next, of course, more shopping! We hopped on to Vivocity to squeeze bodies with a few thousand more people there. Ahh.. how I miss the quietness of Central... anyway... We visited National Geographic, looked inside Tangs, poked our noses around in some Forever 21, Crocs... and then, of course, dinner time.

We went to the British pub, Queen & Mangosteen.

Yup, went out and loitered. Below are some pics I took on a cloudy day.

Went to check out the basement level of Central. They got this thing called 'The Market' where it's basically a supermarket (Cold Storage kind) and they got eating joints inside there. There's a Western (spaghetti) and Japanese (serving raw and cooked food). The spaghetti cooked on the spot smells really nice. Then today got 1 man peddling this Japanese bread that costs $18.50. That's the price for a loaf. Yeah, 'coz according to him, everything about the bread is imported from Japan and is organic. The name of his shop is 'Buono' or smthg like that. In Taka.

Outside, there are meat joint called 'Fine Cuts' where you can 'pick n grill'. Min. weight 250gms and grilling fee is $8. They also serve set lunches served with a side and a drink. I couldn't decide whether I wanted to eat Western or Japanese, so I ended up eating........ Subway. Ha...

Went to Central today. YT said he wanted to eat at Grains. I wanted to go see the Japanese restaurants and shops there. So we walked one round to look look see see the place. Marutama Ramen has a queue outside. But the shop selling curry udon looked practically empty. YT asked me to choose which place to lunch at so I suggested Waraku (more variety to choose from). Unfortunately, it has a queue too. So we ended up at Tom Ton (because I never tried black pig before and there was no queue)

The black pig ramen lunch set (@$13.80++) is only available during weekdays, so had to order something else. He ordered the black pig nabe (@$18.80), while I chose the black pig rice with ginger (@$18.80) in hot stone (like bibimbap kind but without the egg in the center). Side dish was one stick of black pig with leek yakitori (@$4.80). Click here to read the review.

After lunch, went to look look see see what's in Central. Basement got Petit Provence, so bought some Pon (cheese ball thingie), Cream and Chocolate Wassant (some croissant thingie). Haven't eat yet, so don't know what they taste like. Marcial Kobe mini doughnuts are really tiny. There's this shop opposite Lao Zhao Pai that sells stuffs from Japan (similar to Lao Zhao Pai concept), so if anyone suddenly got craving for the shiroi koiibito choc de langue.. can get from that shop. There's also a Jap grocery shop called Yamakama.

After that, went to Vivocity and had a belgian mocha (or was it latte?) @ Haagen Daaz.
