Bought some buns from Mama Bakery. Used to be owned by a Japanese elderly lady, but I think the business is sold to someone else for quite some time already. Retained similar breads though.

The lobster bun tasted pretty weird. Not sure what they sprinkled at the top of the bread (dark brown bits), but it tasted weird! Not the typical Japanese curry bun curry... so, will not be buying this anymore.

The cranberry cream cheese was good. As good as previous owners'.

Got chicken bun, butter coconut bun and century egg puff with lotus paste

Actually I wanted the lotus paste with salted egg pastry.. but don't know how come ended up with the century egg ones.... Haha! Must be my Chinese no good.. didn't see the description properly! Anyway, lotus paste with salted egg is way better than century egg...


But the best bun turned out to be...

coconut butter bun

Yup, soft bun with lots of butter and a sprinkling of coconut inside.. yummy! Think my soft spot for butter buns originated from childhood. So, this is my comfort food.
