Amari Watergate Bangkok

It's a lovely hotel, directly opposite Platinum Fashion Mall.

lobby

The frontdesk staff were courteous, but sometimes looked harried... The porters are helpful, and no worries about our luggages. The standard deluxe room, very spacious and clean.

upon entering the door, place to put luggages

came equipped with big TV and dvd player

king sized bed

minibar

Not much of a view when looking out of hotel window...

Thailand's tap water is not drinkable, so the hotel will supply 2 bottles of drinking water.

drinking water, in a cool bottle

quite easy to open with this functional cap

The room has toilettries such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel but no toothbrush and no toothpaste! Geez.. I had to use the Listerine that's inside the room. Chargeable of course....

body lotion is nice

my SD$7 Listerine...

the mouthwash price is on par with Perrier~

At Platinum mall, there's a 7-11, and they sell toothbrush for 20 baht and small toothpaste for 6 baht. So either bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, or buy from somewhere else.

But good thing, detergent is supplied. Then can wash stuffs inside the room!

hang dry over the bathtub, this clothes liner.. never fails to remind me of "Final Destination"

I opted for re-using of the linen (in my feeble attempt to be environmental friendly), and when I got back to the hotel room at night, saw this...

so sweet

Maybe all rooms had the flower, I don't know. But felt happy to see a flower on the bed. No? Haha!
