Spring Hokkaido Fair 2012 @ Takashimaya

This is one fair that I looked forward to, every year. Hahaha, actually not sure what's the frequency but seemed like they're having it on a yearly basis? Here's a link to the fair last year. The exhibitors and items are more or less the same as previous year. That's actually good because then it's like a second chance to get those things that you really really liked or try out new items!

Didn't buy anymore ikameshi nor croquettes since I've tried those last year. Didn't get any pumpkin pudding nor swiss rolls. Here's the link to pumpkin pudding and swiss rolls.

This year, I threw caution to the wind and ended up spending more. Well, it could've been a lot more if the expiry dates of the items weren't so short! Buahahaa!

So what's the loot?

Seafood Bento from Kani Kobo (@SGD24 or approx. 1,570)

liked the packaging, and the chopstick came with a piece of toothpick in it

salmon, ikura, uni and crabmeat shreds
hmm, styrofoam boxes though

The one deterrant factor from buying those bento's, especially with raw stuffs, is that you need to go home directly after the purchase. Especially if you're not staying around Orchard or nearby. It's an hour journey for me, so it was really grab and go. Then put inside freezer for like 5-10 minutes, just so it'll be nicely cooled.

The cheapest of the lot was shredded crabmeat and rice. Unfortunately, the shredded crab meat doesn't have much taste so I was glad that I didn't go for that! If you intend to get one, get those with the 'whole' crab meat (aka unshredded) and definitely must have those lovely ikura. The rest, is really up to your budget. ;)

Mel Cheese Mix from Petite Merville (@SGD18 per box of 8 pcs or approx. 1,177)

Mel Cheese Mix (plain and pumpkin)
unboxed
oops, condensation in process
plain
pumpkin
eat me

nom nom nom~

notice the bottom layer of cake

The mini cheesecakes were really dainty. Light, fluffy and not too sweet. Probably good for afternoon tea snack. For me, it was gone in a matter of two bites!

Dairy Products from Komagatake Gyunyu

milk chou, shiroi pudding and rare cheesecake
yummy milk chou~ like ice-creaaaaam~
cheesecake in a bottle~
cheesecake~

The Rare Cheesecake tasted rich and strong. Enjoyable! Oishii! The milk chou was SGD3 (~196), the rare cheesecake was SGD6 (~392) and the shiroi pudding was SGD5 (~327).
