for beer and the works...

Occasion: To celebrate Chet's birthday.
Venue: Brewerks @ Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Reached the place at around 645pm. So explored a little and took some snaps of the scenaries.

what's the name of this mini bridge?

probably to connect the residents to the restaurants?

be careful not to fall into the waters...

our tables were just like 15-20 steps away...

There were sandflies hovering above our heads.. quite annoying. But as Mr R aptly assured us, by night fall these creatures would be gone.

from our table

We ordered some starters and beer before anyone fainted from hunger/thirst. No chicken wings, as Mr R said he tried buffalo wings and the sauce tasted 'weird'.

Ordered their bestselling beer, the Golden Ale. Liked the taste as it's low in bitterness. It'll be great if the beer can be icy cold...

nachos

skinny calamaris

The cheese and toppings were piled onto the nachos, and this made the chips soggy in no time. The layer of cheese hardened quite quickly. I think most preferred the melted cheese nachos found in cinemas. But the guacamole are quite enjoyable, creamy and smooth. Can't go wrong with anything fried, so the calamaris are no exception. Crunchy on the outside (thin batter), and tender in the insides.

While we wait for the rest of the people to start trickling in, the sky became darker and darker...

@7.24pm

Shots taken at around 730-750pm.

Haha, time to continue with main course! The main course arrived at approximately 840pm. That's also because we ordered it at around 820pm.

tomato, chili, mustard, pepper, tabasco.. almost all the sauces you'll ever need

portobello mushroom with mash, ain't this a pretty dish?

chargrilled rib-eye steak, looking heavy at 300 gms

crab linguine in lemon basil sauce, yumz

pan-seared white cod and looks can be deceiving.. the marinade was very very salty, and so was the leaves...

Food was shared, beers drunk.. and by 920pm, we're done. Time for group photos!

birthday boy beaming happily... in case not sure who, we've pointed it out for you~
